About Staley
The Town of Staley, founded in 1889, was named for Col. John Staley, a Confederate officer in the Civil War. The town is conveniently located 20 miles northeast of Asheboro, five miles southeast of Liberty, and nearly nine miles northeast of Ramseur.
Staley, NC is a small town with a tight-knit community. The people here are friendly and welcoming, always happy to lend a helping hand when needed. The area is known for its beautiful scenery, many outdoor activities, and rich history. There is something for everyone in Staley, from fishing and hiking to museums and local shops. It's the perfect place to relax or do some work in peace and quiet. Life in Staley offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life without sacrificing the convenience of nearby amenities such as grocery stores and restaurants.
